Emotion Cognition

Research on Emotion Cognition

Emotional cognition-—how we perceive, interpret, and respond to emotional cues—is a critical neural process for social functioning, however we don’t know how it develops. In these projects, I’m interested in 1) characterizing emotion cognition in the brain across childhood and 2) mapping how individual differences in emotion cognition neurodevelopment are associated with depression and anxiety risk.
